June 2016 to June 2017 is an exciting twelve months for Ludlow Open:
- In response to exceptional demand, Jo King will again deliver 2 series of 3 Artist Development Workshops.
- The Bell Tower Residency, first presented in 2014, is back during Herefordshire Art Week, 10-18th September, in Yarpole, Herefordshire. The selected artist is Justine Cook (www.justinecook.co.uk).
And we are delighted to announce a new cross-arts partnership with Arvon (www.arvon.org):
- The Open at Arvon: A year long hang of contemporary art made by a selection of regional artists at The John Osborne Arvon Centre, The Hurst, Shropshire.
- A week long artist residency, The Arvon Hurst Residency, featuring a national artist making work in response to a writer’s home in the Shropshire hills. Selected artist is Sophie Herxheimer (www.sophieherxheimer.com).
All the above has been made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England, The Millichope Foundation, The William A Cadbury Trust, and partnerships with Arvon and St Leonard’s Church Yarpole.
