“As a final year undergraduate student in July 2010 I found working with Jo & exhibiting at Ludlow a very rewarding experience.  It was Jo’s passion, organisation and encouragement which pulled such a great exhibition together and I would have no hesitation in applying to the show again.”  Mark Beattie, Artist, Notts, August 2011.

The Ludlow Open education programme, LUDLOW OPEN FUTURES, has been greatly extended for 2013:

Jo King is running a series of half day and one day workshops to all regional 6th form colleges throughout the year, covering ‘Curatorial Practice and Professional Development’ (what artists can do to promote their work outside the studio).

The above workshop can also be delivered to undergrad courses, the first of these was held this year for 2nd year undergrads on the Hereford College of Art Illustration course.

Anyone interested in the above workshop can call Jo on 07803 251736 or email at info@ludlowopen.org.

2012 was the first year that Ludlow College student work was selected for exhibition as part of Ludlow Open.  This will happen again in 2013, under the guidance of Helen Cass, Head of Art at Ludlow College.  It is a fantastic pportunity for students to experience being part of a national art exhibition.

This year Ludlow Assembly Rooms are running ‘Ludlow Junior Open’ in conjunction with Ludlow Open.  In conjunction with the Junior Open Jo King will run a one day art workshop for children aged 5-11 years of age, over the May half term holiday.  See www.ludlowassemblyrooms.co.uk for details.
